Twenty-something. Former film student. Current artist and baker. Sleeps too much. Loves words. Small town southern gal at heart. Not often original but always sincere.
It’s official. We are actually moving to Nashville. We signed our lease on Thursday and will be back to pay our first month’s rent within the next thirty days.

After looking at some places in sketchy neighborhoods that looked like someone had been evicted or making drugs or squatting in them we were starting to seriously worry nothing like we wanted existed in our price range. Then, finally, with what I’m sure is a good dose of luck we found it. The only thing that could make me love this place more would be hard wood floors. But when you’re pressed for time and money, you can’t win them all.

Any way, somehow we snagged a three bedroom, single family house that sits on nearly 3/4 of an acre, in what seemed like an alright neighborhood, on a dead end street. According to the Davidson Co assessor it’s located in Aldrich Heights but going by Google Maps it’s kind of between Talbot’s Corner and Hayne’s Area.

The landlords don’t care if we paint and renovate things. We will be able to get a dog [eventually] after paying an easy peasy deposit. There is so much natural light in the house we won’t even need to turn on lamps til after sundown. There is a enormous tree in the backyard I can’t wait to spend the warm summer days under. There is enough room to have a bitchin’ garden.

I am so excited. So, now that this really happening all you other Nashvillians should hit me up. I don’t bite and need friends! Anddd if any one knows of any coffee shops, bakeries, or cafes that are hiring, I have killer customer service skills and am a rockstar baker.
